I pointed out that Latin grammar is nothing like English grammar, and English is actually a Germanic language. He insisted this was untrue. OK, so he wasn’t a _linguistics_ teacher, but the basic history of the English language is also… history. ---

I don’t even see how there is any distinction between worshipping the same god and a different one. Christians and Muslims disagree on a lot of the characteristics of their god/s. Many?/most?/all? Christians believe in the Trinity, which is quite different from what Muslims believe. Historically, both religions developed from Judaism, and Islam generally seems to regard Christians and Jews as worshipping the same god (but doing it wrong, as **DrFidelius** said) but really whether or not it’s the same god is a religious claim, and equally subject to accusations of stupidity as any other. ---

My wife was having troubles for about a week printing from her PC (mine had no problem), when she ordered me to “Blow away the server and reload it.” We have a very vanilla home wifi setup. “And what server would that be? Point it out to me.” “You know, the software and the drivers…” She went back to her PC, looked at the possible print devices, and realized she was connected to a device the no longer exists and I have not been able to delete. ---
