The AMA is a lobbying group. It does not govern. Nor does it cancel studies, unless they are studies the AMA is doing itself.
The AMA raises money and lobbies for its causes, and educates its members and other physicians about matters it considers important. It has no authority over physicians, other than kicking them out of their lobbying group.

Anyway, you reminded me of some of my teachers. I had a history teacher claim that we should learn Latin because it would help us with English grammar, because English evolved from Latin. I pointed out that Latin grammar is nothing like English grammar, and English is actually a Germanic language. He insisted this was untrue.
OK, so he wasn’t a linguistics teacher, but the basic history of the English language is also… history.

Beats me. We’ve had this discussion and they believe it’s the same God, and Jesus was a prophet, but not the son of God.
I don’t even see how there is any distinction between worshipping the same god and a different one. Christians and Muslims disagree on a lot of the characteristics of their god/s. Many?/most?/all? Christians believe in the Trinity, which is quite different from what Muslims believe. Historically, both religions developed from Judaism, and Islam generally seems to regard Christians and Jews as worshipping the same god (but doing it wrong, as DrFidelius said) but really whether or not it’s the same god is a religious claim, and equally subject to accusations of stupidity as any other.

You can see Keflavik on the SW peninsula. On a clear day you can see the mountain at the tip of the middle peninsula on the Western side.

My wife was having troubles for about a week printing from her PC (mine had no problem), when she ordered me to “Blow away the server and reload it.” We have a very vanilla home wifi setup.
“And what server would that be? Point it out to me.”
“You know, the software and the drivers…” She went back to her PC, looked at the possible print devices, and realized she was connected to a device the no longer exists and I have not been able to delete.
Small factoid here. It’s exactly salt water that is sprayed, by planes, onto crops before mechanical picking starts. It causes them to die and all the leaves to fall off.

Not stupid. If someone says they don’t eat dairy, then one strong possibility is they abstain on moral grounds - they object to exploitation of animals. Asking if they also abstain from eggs is perfectly logical.
