Ok, Hi everyone I am new to posting here but a long time reader;-) So I have a question. I ran across this site that has software for making subliminal messages [http://www.subliminalrecorder.com](http://www.subliminalrecorder.com) and I wanted to know your thoughts on this. Does this type of advertising work?? can you control what one does? It fascinates me to think I can maybe get someone to do what I want by letting them listen to something I created. Looking forward to getting to know everyone;-) ---

Welcome to the board. It’s a good idea to try using the site search before posting questions. Cecil wrote on the subject a couple of times: [http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a1\_187.html](http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a1_187.html) [http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a2\_344.html](http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a2_344.html) Those should answer your question. ---
