Surely you need to add Standard (Anti-air) to that list?

In additon some sailors from the USS Tang escaped after it was sunk in 1944 using the lung. [/nm] \*\*

Thanks, I stand corrected.

> Charles Bowers Momsen was born in Flushing, Long Island, New York, on 21 June 1896. He attended the U.S. Naval Academy, graduating with the Class of 1920 in June 1919. Following initial service in battleships, he was trained as a submarine officer and commanded three submarines in 1923-27. Following those commands, Momsen was assigned to the Bureau of Construction and Repair. In 1929-32 he was actively engaged in the development of a submarine escape breathing apparatus that came to be known as the “Momsen Lung”.

**Dancing Fool** already mentioned the addition of [Standard](http://www.designation-systems.net/dusrm/m-66.html) missiles.

In any event, [SUBROC](http://www.designation-systems.net/dusrm/m-44.html)s are an obsolete submarine-launched stand-off nuclear depth charge. They are no longer in the U.S. inventory.

By your description, you are probably thinking of the [ASROC](http://www.designation-systems.net/dusrm/r-5.html). BTW, most of the original ASROCs have been replaced with the [VL-ASROC](http://www.designation-systems.net/dusrm/m-139.html).
