I considered that but it’d require either moving over three hundreds items or spawning them all, which feels like cheating.

I got it out. A hint online was to use the habitat builder to start constructing a piece of a habitat that occludes the Cyclops. It causes the Cyclops to jump away a bit to avoid the interference.
