At the ones I’ve been to, the carrots are sort of matchsticked and about 1/2" long. I, too, like them on my sandwich. ---

Yep, this. @ the OP: You are upset because you failed to state what you wanted, and didn’t get what you wanted? “Everything” can very easily be construed to mean _everything they usually put on a sandwich_, and they _do not usually put jalapenos on a sandwich, unless it is requested_. Even if you didn’t already know this, _they make the sandwich right in front of you_. You don’t even have to watch the entire process, just a quick glance before they wrap it up would have been enough to note there were no jalapenos at which point you simply say “Can you add jalapenos?” Not only did you fail, but what I find hilarious is that you find it necessary to mention the $5 cost of the sandwich, as if dropping a big Lincoln entitles you to some kind of extraordinary personalized service. ---

The Subways here have carrots. When they briefly did the thai peanut chicken sandwiches, chicken + spinach + carrots + peanut sauce = freaking awesome.
