Bob Mould was the guitarist and vocalist for Husker Du, an influential and pretty hardcore punk/alternative band in the 1980’s. After they broke up, he formed a new band, Sugar, which was more mainstream alternative. In recent years he has turned to producing and recording dance music and electronica.
I’d say that’s quite a change.
