Please help. I was playing a video on my computer using Windows Media Player 9, when suddenly the sound went dead. I have tried rebooting the system and it didn’t help. The sound card and the speakers are ok because I can play music using Real Player. What could have gone wrong with Windows Media Player? I have also downloaded and installed the Windows Player again. Thanks to any dopers who can help.

Sorry guys. It was just something stupid I had done. Stupid enough not to mention it here. Can I request a moderator to please close this thread and get it off. Thanks.

I did that once. Spent three hours trying to figure out why WMP wasn’t playing. Then I realized I had accidentally muted it. :smack:
