They are candies.

Since _The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies_ is part of _The Nutcracker_ one would obviously check out the New York City Ballet for a [sugar plum recipe](http://www.nycballet.com/programs/ncurr.html).

That’s odd, if I go to the link I provided the internal scroll bar on the page takes me down to the recipe. Did you miss the scroll bar?

The New York City Ballet link does have a sugar plum recipe. But it’s confusing because there are two scroll bars. You have to use the left scroll bar to get down to the recipe.

I looked at several recipe sites and the thing I discovered is that sugar plums don’t have plums in them! Here are several recipes:
