# Suggest a fountain pen

I love fountain pens, and my favorites are vintage Parker 51’s. I love the fine nib, I love the flex, I just enjoy writing with them. Using a pen you refill from an inkwell isn’t convenient at work, though. Is there a fountain pen with the same characteristics (not too big in my hand, fine flexible nib, not a big broad signature pen) either vintage or new, that takes cartridges? The ones I’ve tried are either too big and heavy, stiff or scratchy, and not enough fineness in the nib.

It has an iridium tipped nib and I’ve found it to be compatible with a wide variety of inks, but perhaps it just isn’t the pen for you.

I have a couple of Cross Townsends that I really like. I think they come in a variety of widths, but they are nice and heavy.

If you like resin bodies, look into Visconti.
Waterman and Parker have nice working pens.
Sailor pens have nice, smooth nibs.
