> _Friday Night Lights_ is almost a sacred cow. I loved the first season, mostly because of the way the writers handled the relationship between Coach Eric and his wife – they were so adult! But season two went a bit off the rails, and I couldn’t trust it after that.

> Season 2 of _The Wire_ is my favorite. Feel free to post as you watch – there are a lot of fans who’d love to relive it with you, maybe even rewatch. We’ll be careful about spoilers.

Actually, I’ve seen _The Wire_ on a number of occasions. No need to worry about spoilers! 😉

You say your wife likes British stuff.

How about Inspector Morse ?

Its about an intellectual police detective based in the university town of Oxford, who solves murders.

Some of the surroundings the episodes are set in are astounding, filmed in the actual very old colleges.

Also the episodes are feature length, so that you can really get your teeth into them.

I’m working my way through Battlestar Gallactica right now. So far so good, but it’s very dark. Nothing goes right for those guys!

I always recommend _Firefly_. I’s just that good. And have youseen _Pushing Daisies_? It’s funny and sweet and quirky.
