One of my co-workers went bonkers over this song and used it in her wedding. Touching song with event-appopriate lyrics. Downside is the changes in tempo. “Nameless One” by Young Love. ---

It is a Catholic wedding, so religious overtones at the reception, real or perceived, are not an issue. ---

My other and I plan on using “In Spite of Ourselves” by John Prine. Not a big country fan in the least, but the song is pleasantly twangy, and perfectly describes our quirky-yet-functional relationship. Also, you can dance to it like you’re in seventh grade. …“Kiss to Build a Dream On” or “Dream a Little Dream” are also classic. ---

I can’t believe no one has mentioned **True Companion** by Marc Cohn. Lyrically it’s just about the most moving statement of enduring love that I’ve ever heard. Musically it’s beautiful as well. You may recognize Cohn’s name from “Walking in Memphis”. ---
