remember the ex-bf I was so torn up about losing? he was lying to me the WHOLE ENTIRE TIME! well I have fixed his ass good, but now I want some angry songs. Think- I hate your guts, I hope you die type stuff. that is what I need right now… everytime I think of being with him I think of how he lied to me about everything… ---

“Slash Your Tires” by Luna is an EXCELLENT angry-at-the-ex song. “And in my dreams / I slash your tires / And in my dreams / I set these fires / And all your fears / It’s nothing new / And all your tears / They won’t help you.” The song is even weirder given that Dean Wareham delivers such hateful lyrics in an emotionless deadpan accompanied by music that’s sort of peppy. Elvis Costello’s “Accidents Will Happen” is in the same vein (so sayeth Costello during “Storytellers”). ---

**Suicidal Tendencies** is always a great band for angry songs. _War Inside My Head_, _You Can’t Bring Me Down_, and _The Feeling’s Back_ are definitely the best. Some other good ones are _A Little Each Day_, _I Won’t Fall In Love Today_, _Alone_, _Berserk_, _Go’n Breakdown_, _How Will I Laugh Tomorrow_, _If I Don’t Wake Up_, _Institutionalized_, _Lost Again_, _No Fuck’n Problem At All_, _One Too Many Times_, _Trip At The Brain_, etc. There’s also pretty much everything I’ve ever heard from **Corrosion of Conformity** , **L7** , **KMFDM** , **D.R.I.** , **Pantera** , **Megadeth** , and the first four tracks from **Stabbing Westward** ’s “Wither, Blister, Burn, and Peel”.
