Would it be feasable to have a status page on [www.straightdope.com](http://www.straightdope.com) which gives information about the current state of the message board, so that if (like today) it is totally unaccessable, we can at least find out why, or what’s going on? Or even a statistics page, showing the number of members online, and a figure which indicates the point at which number of members is likely to result in slowness ---

I did. Locked up for about 6 hours, between 9 am and 3 pm, NZ time. Just got to the Forum lists, after long delays, but once I tried to get into a forum “This page cannot be displayed.” Working fine now - just Board traffic?
