On my door at work is a big poster-sized piece of paper. Every day I draw on it for five minutes or so, and it usually takes me a few months to fill it up. All of the drawings are also drawn around a ‘secret message’ that forms one letter at a time as I add to the poster, and I’m starting a new one today as I’ve filled up the old one. The recent message said “I would gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today”. Before that I had “Be Sure to drink your Ovaltine.” Passers-by attempt to guess the message each day as it gets closer to completion, and I need another message to put up. It needs to be hard enough to guess, but not so obsucre that once it’s done no one will know what it’s from. Anyone got any ideas? I’m looking for something hard to figure out, but once it’s done, the majority of people will recognize it rather than saying, "What does that mean? " Anyone got a suggestion? I’m tossing around “I Know it’s only rock and roll, but I like it”, but I was thinking someone here would come up with something much better. ---

I’m trying to avoid worn-out old sayings like “You can lead a horse to water…” and stuff like that. I’m trying for a well known quote from a song, movie, etc. , or a well-known joke—something like that. I probably should’ve mentioned that in the OP. ---

The Ovaltine bit they know because it was the secret message in “A Christmas Story”, not from an actual commercial. I actually like the ‘two all beef patties…’ suggestion. I think enough people have heard that, even if they weren’t necessarily around when it first came out. ---
