Anything that is a G, PG or PG13 is a good bet for an old folks home or group home. Also, you can call your local library and see if they may be interested.
Also, if you have a specific genre colleciton, Ebay might be the place to offload it with a low starting bid of something like $1 for 25 tapes. I did that a few months ago with 50 of my kids infant and preschool tapes. Made $45, which is way more than I paid for them as most of them were hand me downs or cheapies at garage sales.
Everyone is offloading their VHS. I’ve never seen such a glut before, a veritable tsunami of VHS tapes everywhere. Go to a Thrift Store and they had loads. Garage sales everyone is dumping them. If you think you can make a buck or two, sell it now.
Or you could rip out a bunch of the tape and decorate your place for a party.
