# suicide bombers in Iraq

I was discussing Kamikaze pilots with a friend and the conversation turned to suicide bombers in iraq. I searched on the internet to find out how many actual suicide attacks there have been but I have not been able to find an answer. So I will pose the question and hope someone out there has an answer or a rough estimate:
Since the war in iraq began how many suicide bombers have lost their lives?

(i suppose that depends on your definition - is a suicide bomber truly a suicide bomber if he fails? I digress).
The above link to a Newsweek article also has these numbers:
Suicide bomb attacks through August 04 in Iraq (since the start of occupation): 108. From September through December 04, there were 369 car bomb attacks, with an estimated 50% of them being of the suicide variety.
