**Butters** sounds like a great trip. Nawth Jawja is purty but I don’t want to live there. It gets snowy and icy. No Thanks. Pizza has been ingested. Also da cave smells nummy right now. I cooked up some peas and butterbeans with okra, and some squish for tomorrow’s N.O.L. Also, I butterflied a poke tenderloin, brushed on a little liquid smoke and let it go for a few minutes on the grill. Then I put some rosemary and N.O.H. inside it, tied it up and now it’s finishin’ up in the oven. I want it to finish in the oven cause I want some drippin’s to make gravy tomorrow. After we deheathenate, I shall make some cornbread and re-heat everything. 'Twill be good! I like crab but not that much. :eek: ---

Guess who won 3rd place in the modified softail class at the bike show! 😃 My sweetie got a trophy and everything - you can see a pic on my FB, but I’m not posting it anywhere else right now. This was a real judged show, not a pay-for-votes show. We figure if he does a little more staging in the future - like adding a parrot and maybe a small barrel of “rum” on the back, he might score even better in the future. He’s thinking about adding a little more art work to it, too. I think he needs a pirate costume. Anyway, YAY!!! 😃 ---

Yay, **Emily**! Keep practicing. Went to the family reunion today. Hugged all if the aunts, uncles, cousins, inlaws and outlaws and kissed the babies. Even got to see baby sis, who, with her two daughters, were down from Chicago. On the way back to the folks’, I swung through :eek: Wal-Mart :eek: to pick up some needed underdrawers for Mom. Cut Dad’s hair when I returned. My “vacation” is beginning to sound as busy as. **butters** ’s! 😛 I’s tahred. ---

Weird night last night. I woke at 2:30 thinking I was hearing Higgs clawing at her crate. Nope - it was chirping critters of the night. Stoopit critters! But I did fall back to sleep till after 6, so yay! Shortly, I will go out and mow the ditch. In an hour, the guy who’s buying the aquarium and contents is coming over to start taking parts away. Plans for today include deheathenization, havin’ N.O.L. at da cave bein’ as I pretty much got it all made last night, and maybe a load or two of laundry. The excitatement never ends! Yay for FCD!!! The ditch is mowed, and the evolution included an amazingly clumsy fall on my derriere - fortunately, no audience. I’m showered and cooling down. \*\*FCD \*\*is currently disassembling his tank. Higgs is outside, and she’s none too happy about it. Taz is locked in the bedroom, and he’s not happy either. Here’s hoping he doesn’t pee on the bed… I need some ice water - I’s sweating!! ---

Blurf[sup]2[/sup]! Up cleaning and organizing. We’re spending the weekend puppyproofing the house and acquiring puppy necessities. If we finish, we could have our new puppy by Wednesday or so. This will be interesting. Summer…when I was a kid, it meant playing outside a lot with the neighborhood kids. These days, there’s all kinds of garden fun, summer concerts, various festivals. Why isn’t everything getting less busy? Seems like I barely have enough time to read, let alone post. Hugs all.
