I’m almost broken. Warm spring days are my therapy. Without them, I am not the same person. Here in the Philly area, it’s been depressing to use the Spring as the light at the end of the long dark tunnel that is Winter, only to have it pushed back…and back…until it’s gone. I am very depressed. ---

Crap. **I NEED A TAN!!!** I’m fair skinned as it is, what little sun I get in the summer has to last me through winter. Come spring I have the coloring of a dead fish. Now I’m paler than a dead fish! I need the sun for my psychological (and others) well being!!! My normal balance personality is beginning to teeter to the extremes. ---

I like it. Cool weather is much better than hot weather. In cool or cold weather you can always put on more clothes to get warm. In hot weather you can only take off so much before the neighbors start calling the cops. ---

It is currently 69 degrees outside, and bright. Today should be sunny and warm up to be much like last week. While I’m prancing around outside gleefully, I’ll try to beam sunshine to the boards to warm all of you up. Keep in mind, however, that I’m also battling sunburn and mosquitos. Summer has its downfalls, especially in South Carolina. ---

We had rain rain rain rain and rain and now we have one morning to mow the jungle before more rain rain rain and rain! Aaarrrggghhh Tell me why I had our deck rebuilt as we have only been able to sit out there once!!! My daughter keeps bringing me her shoes and requesting bye bye and I keep telling her I’m sorry honey it’s raining. Poor munchkin! ---

Strangely enough, here in the below-sea-level part of Lousyana we’ve had very little rain. It’s been sunny and low 80s for a while now, with occasional (relatively) low humidity for around here, under 80% (hey, after a while at 95% all the time, 75% feels dry!). What really chaps my ass is the fact that even though everything is still so green and growing so darned fast that we have to mow our lawn every 5 days whether it rains or not, our idiot neighbors are WATERING THEIR LAWNS! Come on, folks, you want to get out in that sun and mow every THREE days??? I feel for you folks who aren’t getting sun. I’ll gladly send you some of our warmth, I like it about 75 with a breeze, and we’ve had our two days of that for 2003!! ---

Oh, come on you guys!! Cheer up!! Here on the East Coast there is PLENTY to do … … we can hear the grass grow … … cultivate our world-class fungus collections … … sleep all night without having to take antihistamines (unless you’re allergic to mold) … … uh … listen to our tomato plants screaming in horror because they haven’t gotten any sun since April … … um … experiment with new and exciting anti-arthritis medications as we try to treat the joint pain … OK, so maybe it isn’t so cool. But there’s always Atlantic City!! (And as long as it rains, I don’t have to paint my parents’ garage, which means _I don’t have to clean it out either_ …) ---

Are you all _crazy_? Have you forgotten what summers in DC (and Maryland and Virginia and Pennsylvania and Delaware) are like? They’re like lying in an oven set to broil while breathing through a wet blanket, that’s what they’re like. 70 degree days at the end of May? This is a gift from God! ---

It’s my fault. I carry bad weather with me everywhere I go. When I lived in Mississippi the weatgher rthere was colder than in New York. Now it’s colder than average up here. Look out, Texas, you have a frigid fall ahead of you. I move in July. ---

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: GAAAHHH! The sun almost came out today. I think… I was indoors when it happened, so I’m not sure, but it looked like the clouds lightened up a little. Course, I haven’t seen the sun in so long, I’m not sure I’d recognize it if I saw it. I think maybe it’s time for an imaginary SDMB BBQ.
