Or perhaps they paid off the wrong people. It wouldn’t be the first time it’s been suggested some Russian oligarch ponied up for a gold medal. ---

Not the Russians, as they weren’t at the Olympics. It was the Russian Olympc Committee. ---

Ah, concern trolling. Always a delight. 🙄 I actually sorta feel for him. After about half a century of having the IOC in its pocket and making a complete mockery of what was _supposed_ to be a prestigious international sports gala, having reality repeatedly megaton-punch them in the face…combined with the now completely undeniable reality that the good old days are **++NEVER++** coming back…has to be super hard. But you know what, if I could get used to a dozen of my favorite shopping hangouts closing down and video games going from endless delight to what-the-freak-was-I-thinking, Russia can get used to a level playing field that doesn’t give a crap about history.
