I took a couple of pictures yesterday, **STG** , but they didn’t turn out very well. I’ll try again tomorrow. I think the colors don’t photograph very well. I just looked online and found mixed results. Yay for Firday! I voted in our general and local elections but so far I haven’t got the result I wanted. Our labour MP has been booted out but the replacement conservative guy doesn’t live anywhere near our constituency so can hardly be said to represent our interests. Counting for the local elections doesn’t start until 1pm today so that result should be known by the time I get home, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a better result there. Other than that, nuthin’! ---

**Taters** , you can relax. My poke roast is in the crock pot as I write this. Actually, it’s less of a roast and more chunks of poke. I decided to remove some of the excess fat, and there was a lot. ick. But now it’s warming up with some garlic, assorted spices, cider vinegar, and a few glops of applesauce. Wonder what it’ll taste like? I kinda made up the seasonings as I went along… It got chilly last night, and I got cold. \*\*FCD \*\*slept in the guest room because the idiot cat climbs on him and keeps him up. So I had the idiot cat, but he doesn’t generate the same heat as my sweetie. I ended up folding the bedspread over on itself and falling back to sleep. And before someone suggests it, locking the cat out is a waste of effort - he’ll continue to jump on the door handle in an attempt to open the door - it’s worse than having him walk on you… So. Plans for the day are to do what I didn’t get to do yesterday. I’m going to rake in front of the house by the guest room windows - that garden is a wreck. There’s also an unauthorized tree trying to grow there - it has to be removed. And the hosta are getting out of control. It’s also where the new hose winder-upper thingy will go. Then I’ll mow the front yard and maybe, finally, disassemble the ratty attempt at a garden around the old well. The previous owners put about 3" of soil over concrete - that makes for a lousy flower bed, yanno? So I’m going to cut up the crappy metal border and remove all the dirt. **gt** , that NPR spoof was a hoot. Plus I now know what some of them folks look like! 😉 I may go back to bed and try to snooze a bit before attacking the yard. Maybe. We’ll see… ---
