Y’all are starting to make me feel downright healthy. **Midget** I could tell you some spider stories, I hate them Once when I killed one I had nightmares that it’s mate was 6 feet tall and coming to get me. ---

A neighbor is caring for another neighbor’s garden while he is away, and gave us various vegetables. Broccoli, in Arkansas Summer, by G-d! But I digress. There are two Scotch bonnet peppers. Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) assures me that if we were to eat them, we would die. I immediately got out my list of People I Wish Were Dead, and tried to figure out how to get them to eat said peppers. No luck so far. On another matter, Dogbutt, Spiderbutt and Kopek butt, I have some delightfully sweet, mild peppers that I am sending to all my MMP friends! Please send me an address, and I shall mail them to you. Hurry, you will want them fresh! Your Special Friend, Carnivorousplant. ---

If I didn’t have to send you my address (its restricted for reasons of National Security – at least in Georgia – my Georgia not Swampy’s Georgia) I would take you up on your fine offer. I often keep a couple ghost chilis around and have even purchased and a bottle of stuff that had to be labeled as an extract and additive and not a food. What? His name was (and I am going to spell all this badly) Hassan Hassouri and flashing back to the old Bugs Bunny/1001 Nights routines I would also tell him “Hassan chop!!!” whenever I could. I like being at home because here I have a good internet connection and I can watch stupid videos without having to go one hour’s drive away to recharge the stupid card. And, while the papers aren’t signed (can’t be signed until November due to a tax-related fabulous idea my darling relatives had), the price for Grandma’s flat is now agreed upon. We’d already said and kept agreeing that it would be “official valuation price”; sadly that’s a hefty chunk higher than market price, but on the other hand, it comes on a piece of paper full of official-looking seals and doesn’t need my aforementioned relatives to go through inordinate amounts of thinking. I’m buying it via what’s called _alquiler con opción de compra_, which means I’m paying installments to the seller rather than to the bank; the installments will cover Grandma’s old folks’ home monthly payments (not the incidentals). The flat stays the vendor’s property until I finish paying. Now we gotta convince Grandma, preferably before the money in her bank account runs out. She agreed on the proper price being “official valuation price” and on me getting it, but wants it to happen after her death. “It’s still yours Grandma, I’m just starting to pay for it instead of putting money in a piggy.” ---

It’s a soggy, soggy day in southern Merrylande! I don’t know when it started raining, but it hasn’t stopped since 5-ish. \*\*FCD \*\*got up with Higgs and I slept in till nearly 7:30! I really needed that, because I had a tough time falling asleep - all the critter dander on the blanket got my eyes watering and my nose running - it was awful!! Then there were the bizarro dreams. But I’m rested and we’re back from breakfast. I was going to put grass seed on part of the hill today, but thanks to the rain, my activities will be indoor only. So I’ll be quilting the lining for **FCD** ’s saddle bags. And maybe knitting. Mostly lazy-type stuff. It is cool enough that I’ve got windows open. Yeah, it’s damp, but it’s fresh air and that’s always good. Happy Saturday! ---
