Yep. I actually asked about that last fall (after Sandy) and at least one fellow Doper posted that they had such a system (the water backup).
To my thinking, it’s fairly rare for both water AND power to be dead around here (it did happen once, after Isabel I think).
If the OP is thinking of installing a sump pump, it just makes sense to include something like that from the start.
