Good GOD Sting and No Doubt rocked! Shania (although she was so obviously and PAINFULLY lipsynching) put on good show. To pull “Message in a Bottle” out of mothballs on the world’s stage took guts but I give it two thumbs up. Memo to Ja-Rule & Ashanti: Your halftime show sucked. Please watch a tape of Sting/Gwen/Shania to get a clue. ---

I agree, it was a very good show once No Doubt came on stage. Coulda lived without Shania, although she is pleasant to look at. Sting and Gwen together was very cool. ---

I liked the show which is suprising since most of the half time shows suck. Shania was eye candy, though I didn’t catch her lip synching. In fact I thought she dropped a couple of notes which made me think she was actually singing. No Doubt rocked and, as usual, Gwen was more eye candy. The No Doubt-Sting part rocked as well. Overall I give the show an A. Slee ---

i thought Gwen’s voice sounded alot shittier than usual, but hey…I’ll take her \ and Shania had so many effects on her (lipsynched?) voice she sounded like Stephan Hawking with tits. (mmmm…tits) and then of course theres Sting (mmm…tits) ---

They could’ve left Message in a Bottle in mothballs as far as I’m concerned, but I do like Sting. Don’t like Shania and it was obvious to me she was lipsynching. They should’ve used Bon Jovi in the half-time show instead of at the end. ---

I was thinking for a while there that Shania was going to join them in a big MitB singfest at the end, but she didn’t. I wonder… whose decision was that? Sting: I don’t want that silly bint working my song! If she comes on the stage, I go off. Gwen: Bet the wimp won’t do it because she’ll have to _sing_ this one! Not only that, but she’ll look and sound stupid as hell. Shania: I’m too good for the 50 year old has-been, the 30 year old slut, and the 20 year old faux classic. Plus my voice has a hitch to it. I was kind of expecting “Desert Rose”, but had no reason to. I was also listening to Shania sing her 2-3 year old song, thinking “way to pump the new album!” :rolleyes: Y’all were watching her _lips_? 😉 U2 would’ve been an awesome show last year if they didn’t have 9-11 to deal with. But then, if you want to get all sanctimonious, you gotta get U2. The big shocker would’ve been if they _hadn’t_ played the Super Bowl. 😉 ---

The SNL halftime show was pretty good until the end. Jimmy Fallon’s musical number was painful to watch. ---

Two things I noted during this; 1) As afr as Shania goes, I can get by hitting the “mute” button and watching her do anything at all. 1. I’m sure they picked a Police song over Sting’s solo stuff because, face it, his solo stuff is _sloooow_. Could you imagine them ending the show with “Fields of Gold?” ---

When Shania came out the first thing that went through my head was, “Lady Vader has the first number”. I kept calling her “Darth Twain” throughout her song. Sting was flat. I like his music (and that of Police) but he was flat. But I prefer flat and live over lip-synching any day. ---
