I wasn’t even really watching the commercial–I was typing my complaint about it here on the SDMB and double-checking my use of “incongruous”. ---

the 'roo could have escaped from a us zoo. so far the second half commercials are a tad less depressing. i don’t belive i saw any dorito commercials. ---

Redwood forest and Florida beach were USA. I’d bet a few others too. Jeep Wranglers are hugely popular around the world, makes perfect sense that they are selling this new off roader to a world wide audience and not being so damn provincial. ---

There were plenty of shots in the us: California, gulf stream waters, new york harbor…the whole first part of the commercial was shot in the us. I thought it was neat to include the rest of the world too. YMMV ---

It’d be a great party rental (PacMan) but I don’t know if I’d like to have hundreds of strangers watch me fail miserably. Does anyone else want to avoid going to McDonald’s for the next two weeks? It looks like another way to be humiliated publicly. ---
