# Super Bowl Halftime Show

How far in advance does the NFL pick the SB entertainment? If they haven’t picked yet, I suggest John Mellencamp for Super Bowl XLVI (2012). The game is being played in the “big town”.

Usually sometime in the year leading up to the game (the Black Eyed Peas have already been announced as the halftime act for SB XLV in Arlington, TX). Mellencamp would be a great choice for Indy, of course.

The Black Eyed Peas?!?! But they were relevant less than 5 years ago!

Yeah, imagine my surprise. This is the first halftime show since the infamous Janet Jackson / Justin Timberlake show (2004) to feature an act founded after 1980.
