Today’s the big day. Time to get your licks in. Starting a new omnibus thread for pre-game discussion, predictions, commercials, and of course the game itself. ## Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles **Time:** Sunday, 6:30 p.m. ET (FOX) **Current odds:** Chiefs -1.5, O/U 48.5 The Chiefs are a minor favorite and the oddsmakers are thinking it’s going to be a slightly lower scoring game in the 20s. The Chiefs are -105 which suggests it’s narrowing to a 1 point spread, the moneyline is Chiefs -120 and Eagles +100 which is really close to a coin flip. What’s your final score?** I’m originally from KC, so obviously pulling for the three-peat. Here’s my dream scenario for how the Chiefs win: On offense, their short-play efficiency matches up well with what the Eagles tend to give up with their high-shell zone defense. The O-line holds up just well enough for Mahomes to pick apart the zone underneath. On defense they get one or two great zone blitzes that confuse Hurts enough that he either bails and takes some bad sacks or (even better) throws an ill-advised pass that gets picked. Their solid tackling at the second and third level is enough to keep Barkley from breaking the game-changing runs he lives for. My prediction is that the KC magic finally runs out, and they lose 27-20. Eagles break at least one 40+ yard rush, and win the turnover battle. ---

Chiefs by seven. Mahomes MVP. Both score first quarter. Total points over 48.5 I don’t bet real money. I certainly wouldn’t bet on anthem length or drink colour or halftime trivia. ---

One of the greatest things the Patriots did for the Super Bowl (aside from winning 6 of them) was get introduced as a team. The individual introduction thing was awful. Food is teriyaki chicken fingers and a salad. I’m rooting for the meteor. ---
