Anyone heading to Detroit for the Super Bowl festivities? I’ll be heading there on Friday. I have no stake in the game itself, but it’s my brithday weekend, and my hometown, and I just figured I’d scope out the freakshow.

Luckily my friends are only charging me $500/night for use of their spare bedroom. 🙂

If you’re looking for something fun to do and are at all into blues, check out [this band](http://www.flatbrokebluesband.com/news.php?id=22). They play locally around the UP, and have been invited to play at several Superbowl venues.

I know a couple of the people in the band, and they’re incredibly excited - it’s a pretty big deal for a small-town (but very talented) band to be picked to play in such a huge venue. All you Superbowl-bound dopers should check them out.
