For what it’s worth, the Vegas odds opened at even and then dropped to Denver -3 after heavy early betting for the broncos. ---

I’m rooting fro 48" of snow to hit NJ starting at 2 a.m. on SB Sunday morning. I plan then to listen to all the wailing from the NFL and the networks about a possible rescheduling. ---

It’s going to be like watching a Roman legion bump uglies with a barbarian horde. I predict an ugly, brutal, high scoring game. If it’s bitter cold, Manning will seize up and Seattle takes it. If it’s just snow I think Denver gets the edge for talent, diversity, and number of quality receivers. If it’s a nice day Denver will be pulling fans out of the audience to fill in as substitutes on offense. ---

This makes me think of a line from the movie _Black Sunday_, about a terrorist attack on the Super Bowl. An Isreali agent, played by Robert Shaw, asks _“Can’t they just cancel it?”_ It’s known there’s an attack plot. Game officials react in horror. _“Cancel the Super Bowl? That would be like canceling Christmas!”_ ---

In Super Bowl XXIV, the 49ers put up 55. After the Broncos topped so many offense records, finishing with the highest score in Super Bowl history would be a great finish. ---

Seattle has a rather massive hill to climb to win this game. The Broncos head coach and at least two players have experience in the Show, the Seahawks are a young team (one of their colors is green, after all), only a handful of the assistant coaches have some playing experience in one. Looking pretty good for Denver, though I would not lay money on them if the line exceeds -3.
