For some reason the NFL, the refs and the announcers wanted the Ravens in this one. It wouldn’t surprise me if Lewis became the next Lawrence Taylor only much worse. ---

Yeah, there were a couple officiating calls that might have been questionable, but the bottom line is that the 49ers made more mistakes and played worse defense than the Ravens, and the final score reflected that. ---

The refs certainly did. However CBS spent the whole game blowing Jim H. and Kaep but hardly mentioned John or Flacco. ---

The only thing I can think is that the official was paying such close attention to the back of the end zone to make sure the punter didn’t step out that he wasn’t even watching for holding/tackling/mauling. ---

Calling a 4th down play with your running quarterback that doesn’t involve him getting out of the pocket with a run/pass option is, quite frankly, bizarre. Especially since the Ravens stupidly sent pressure right up the middle - they’d have been totally vulnerable to the obvious rollout. Were both brothers trying to outsmart each other? ---
