while glueing my glasses, i got some on the lens…any way to get it off without sanding? ---

If I remember right you can use non acetone finger nail polish remover… or just buy the commercially available super glue remover. JC ---

If you’ve got plastic lenses, you might want to be careful before applying strong solvents- it might eat away some lens along with the super glue. Arjuna34 ---

You might want to try putting your glasses in the freezer and then trying to scpe it off. Don’t know, but it might make it easier to remove. ---

Loctite’s (maker of super glue) site recommends > [@](#): > > acetone (nail polish remover), or Super Glue Remover… I don’t think nail polish remover will damage your eyeglass lenses. But I make no promises. I just glued mine back together with the stuff, too. ---

or you could just carefully pick it off with an X-acto knife. that’s what I do ---

Or you can try model airplane engine fuel. I forget which component it is, but Super Glue Remover is just one of the components of MA fuel. ---

A note on super glue repairs. My friend the optician has frequently voiced a desire to add a “super glue surcharge” to glasses mended with it. Apparently it can create real problems if you intend to have the glassed repaired profesionally in the future.
