Charlie Collins vs. the Joker\*. Charlie is a regular working schlub, a “nobody”, who ran afoul of the Joker in the _Batman Animated Series_ episode “Joker’s Favor”. He gets terrorized, browbeaten, stalked, and nearly murdered…and then, the Joker threatens his family. Soon after, the Joker is clinging to Batman, begging to be saved from Charlie, because Charlie has figured out _exactly_ how to terrify the Joker. In a final twist of the knife, he gets a laugh out of Batman before casually driving off to have dinner with his family. \*Okay, the Joker isn’t “super-powerful” in the sense of actually having superpowers, but he is portrayed as incredibly dangerous and resourceful compared to ordinary people. ---

The various Scourges (NOT Skurge) vs. almost anyone. They killed at least half of Marvel’s rogues’ gallery in the 80s. And they weren’t really superpowered…just well-trained in hand-to-hand, marksmanship and disguise. ---

Dazzler tended to think she was pretty underpowered until The Claw grabbed her and she kind of ate him by accident. He got better, though. ---

Superman can be defeated by a rock. A ROCK! I, carrying said rock, can beat Superman. Therefore… me vs Superman is the obvious answer to this thread. 😉 ---
