Is this the first Super Bowl in recent years without an erectile dysfunction ad? A few years ago, it was the horny bowl with quite a few of those ads. ---

I’m not the target demographic in any way (I drive a Nissan Sentra and live in the suburbs and work behind a desk as an engineer), but it was very powerful for me. ---

That was POWERFUL stuff. I felt it had to be inspired by the finest moments from Mad Men - which I fully believe caused modern agencies to up their game. To the detractors, Paul Harvey was best in small doses, and that was plenty concise. ---

I’d say a very weak year. I hated God made a Farmer, but I know there will be mixed opinions on that one. The pistachio ad is probably the only other one that will be talked about tomorrow. ---

I was okay with the paean to farmers, but was disappointed that there was no mention of the farmer’s wife. I liked whatever Amy Poehler was doing – I’ve forgotten already. Missed the Clydesdale ad – it played when Downton was on. My husband described it to me and got all teary. ---

The farmer commercial sucked. It was clearly trying hard to be the Clint Eastwood ad from last year and it talks about an aspect of America that no longer exists (few farms are owned by the people that work them). The Space Babies was very cute and I also thought of egg and sperm when the rockets approached Earth. The Speed Stick pantie ad made me laugh in spite of myself. The Clydesdale ad was very sweet. The wishes made me laugh also. ETA: I wanted to hate the Seth Rogan Paul Rudd ad but found it very funny. ---

I had to watch the commercials off of the net and when they said the Bud commercial was a tear jerker I laughed. bastards. Even knowing ahead of time it was going to be a smarmy attempt at an emotional response I got suckered into it because of the FWM song. I like the Hyundai commercial with the kid putting together a team for a FOOTBALL game. Apparently there are 2 versions of it. The one I saw that made me laugh was when the bully asked “touch or” and the other kids said “tackle” in unison. ---

I liked the Clydesdale commercial or maybe I’m just a sucker for “Landslide.” That’s probably it. The Psy pistachio commercial was awful. That’s why I prefer other nuts. My favorite was the tide commercial with the Dip Montana. By far. When the wife revealed that she washed his jersey while wearing her Ray Rice 27, I died. I’m a Ravens fan, but that could be any sports rivals and I’d still love it. ---

A sapphire can be any color, _except_ red, which is a ruby. Realizing this with my friends made it the best commercial for me, and we were too focused on that to care much about the fish.
