Interesting show by the Black-eyed Peas. I don’t know much about them - is the futuristic schtick part of their overall persona? The glowing dancers are really cool. ---

For me, the BEP are cratering. Worst sound mix ever. Did find the extras and their glowing suits kind of interesting, though. ---

In Vegas we just had a commercial for one of the local heavily advertising lawyer gleefully running down the road chasing ambulances. Didn’t seem to have a tongue in cheek… just odd. ---

I absolutely hate Godaddy’s schtick, and I certainly don’t respect Danica Patrick for her sponsorship of them, but I was mildly amused by Joan Rivers showing up. Doritos tends to go with the surprise violence/gross out approach. Which is getting boring. The NFL heartstrings commercial should have got some emotion out of me, but aside from thinking it was good to hear Michael Douglas’ voice, I thought it was mostly meh. That car ad with the Facebook status update… seriously, who the hell needs that? I liked the Darth Vader ad. Why is it so hard to make a cute, funny ad? You don’t need overhyped celebrities or CGI, just a good idea. ---
