You know, if you had started by saying “this is my opinion and maybe it is strange, but I think less of community college” we would have called you an elitist and it would have been all over by now. Instead you keep defending your opinion as being THE ONE TRUE BELIEF and insulting everyone else. You come across as more stupid all the time. You refuse, as most educated people do these days, to accept there are more than one way to think, one way to function, you do not see that there are many paths. Funny, education is supposed to be broadening, but your outlook is just so narrow. It is like you went to university and completely missed the point. ---

I’m telling people for any excuse you make, I can come up with answer. Community college is never the only choice. Unless, real colleges won’t have you. I’m sorry I don’t want people knowing what state I live in. I’m entitle to some privacy. Unless SD doesn’t think I’m entitled to anything. I will LORD it over everyone when I get hired, because frankly I’m getting tired of everyone feeling so smug that I don’t have a perm job in recession. ---

Actually, depending on the school and how often I’ve subbed there, I’ve had students wave at me and say “Hello Miss Trubie”. Many times they make me drawings and cards, because they like me. ---

No one is lording it over you that you don’t have a permanent job in a recession. We are rather not impressed at the quality of education of which you are so proud. I for one wonder why a plumber, secretary, lab technician, paramedic, pilot, graphic designer, real estate agent, or fireman to name but a few careeers need a 4 year degree and I wonder how you as a substitute teacher without a full time job could afford the hike in wages that would occur if they all did. I couldn’t afford it, and I make an (on paper) comfortable living. ---

Phds and people without degrees all agree. As do people (me for example, and crotalus, and others I am forgetting) who have both kinds of education, and see the merits of both. Or neither.
