I have no idea what the pink fingerprints on the McDonalds thing means. Personally, I’m kind of enjoying the show. There hasn’t been such a display of the Dunning-Kruger effect on the board for a while. ---

The community college was the best choice for me at the time, and I would recommend the same choice wholeheartedly now to anyone who was seeking a career for which the entry-level qualification was an associate’s degree or CC certificate. You are entitled to your opinion, of course, however ill-informed and asinine it might be, but I entitled to tell you that it is ill-informed and asinine. And so I have. I took a writing course at the CC that really helped me a lot. You might want to consider taking one at your local CC, because you write poorly. As others have mentioned, poor writing is not rare among university graduates, particularly recent ones, but it is a weakness in your skill set that you should consider fixing. It would help you rise above the dreck from universities\* whose resumes I have to read. \*I’m not anti-university, or a reverse-snob. I’m just having a little fun here. ---

The pink fingerprints in the “McDonalds” is in reference to an Eddie Murphy standup routine from 1984 where he talked about the poor kids who couldn’t get McDonalds hamburgers because their parents were on food stamps. Same place as the kids with the ice cream. I’m in CC now because they don’t offer the Radiology tech program I want at any 4-year universities here. I’ll be taking a pay cut from what I’m making now to start that career, but I know that in time my pay will rise commensurate with my experience and education. I want something that’s not dependent on the market, unlike my current sales job. I want to work in health care, because it’s immediately satisfying to do something that improves people’s lives in a tangible way. I’ve dated a few substitute teachers and the majority of them were bitter little alcoholics. Not saying Trubie is an alcoholic, but it might account for the spelling errors and the shitty attitude. ---

I’m wired that way; I came to nursing as a second choice, and I love what I do, but in a parallel universe there is another Mona Lisa Simpson, going nearsighted in the library stacks, loving every minute of what she does. In the mean time, Mona Lisa Simpson, RN hangs out with a lot of old people, collecting anecdotal local history. ---
