Yes! I’d forgotten that. Thanks.

Do we know if the Lara’s species doesn’t implant thier young into thier mate or something? You know there is going to be some drama there (and not just human dating an alien)

I enjoyed this episode. Loved the shout outs to **Aladddin**. Mxy sings “A Whole New World”, which is very appropriate, considering Earth is neither his nor Kara’s birthplace. The lyrics also reference flying. Winn says that 5th dimensioners may be the source of stories about (among other things) genies. And his rules about what he can’t do with his magic reminded me of the ones Genie has in\*\* Aladdin\*\*.

Yes , I mean even if Mr. Danvers was 100% legit you would think they would examine him for recording devices (or explosives).
Speaking of examination, wouldn’t a routine physical reveal that he isn’t human?

It was because he was the only one without the personal and emotional connection. So everyone hated him for it.

I’m not expecting great writing on these CW superhero shows, but lately the characters are making Gilligan look like freakin’ Stephen Hawking. There’s less plot holes and fewer bad decisions in an episode of Power Rangers.

This is a pet peeve of mine, but why is it so hard to keep the power levels vaguely consistant?

Supergirl in the first few minutes struggles mightily to stop a truck and then stop a trailer from skidding while staggering about. That puts her around Earth 2 Superman level, and that’s fine. But then she holds up a rail for a train and easily holds up the weight of the train while keeping the rail perfectly still. That’s Earth 1 Superman level power.

Either one is fine, but switching between the two for…dramatic effect? Not so much.

In fairness, it’s possible that she had to struggle with the skidding trailer because its contents could’ve been obliterated if she’d used her full strength to bring it to a dead stop; but the train? No problem; she just holds still as it keeps motoring along, which means she can unconcernedly use her full strength to support it.

This episode was very predictable. The only thing I wasn’t sure of was that Dad was either:

1. Brain washed and not of his own mind.
2. A robot fake (half right).
3. Actually turned evil.
4. An alien in disguise.

The fact that he would be evil and Mon E would be right was given. Just the exact flavor of Evil.

I agree, but it happens all the time. There’s even a [TV Trope](http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/StrongAsTheyNeedToBe) about it.

Because comic books. If the aliens look and act human in every other way, why not in the Humpasaurus Rex category too?

My guess (and it’s probably as bleedingly obvious as it is that Clark Kent is Superman behind those glasses) is that Jeremiah is helping Cadmus under duress. He may be trying to protect his family, but he knows Lillian Luthor will double-cross him in the end, so he’s biding his time until he or the DEO can defeat her.

And what is Mon-El’s secret that he threatened to tell Kara about?

Wouldn’t have to be compatible. Alien babe can provide gratification to Winn by rubbing on various body parts and/or inserting various parts of Winn into locations on her body (she certainly has a mouth, for instance).

Assuming friction also provides pleasure to alien girl (which isn’t a large stretch), Winn can reciprocate, even if she doesn’t have a vagina equivalent. And if it isn’t friction, then presumably she can explain what does work.

At this point it’s so obvious that Mon-El is actually the prince that it hardly qualifies as a shocking secret. Really, the only way they could surprise me is if it turns out that he’s really _not_ the prince, but just the ordinary bodyguard he’s been claiming to be all along.

It occurs to me that Jeremiah Danvers has a much better claim to the name “Cyborg Superman” than Hank Henshaw does. Jeremiah is at least played by an actor who used to play Superman. 🙂
