While I agree that slugfests can be boring,I did like the fight in the latest episode. When Supes showed up I was thinking “oooh, that kidnapper is in trouble” but then it is “He is powered, is he another Kryptonian, a Meta, a robot, or what? How strong is he, does he have other powers?)” Then later when the kidnapper is destroyed by a 2020’s style death ray 😉 that was a bit of a shock. (killed for failing? destroying evidence?) Brian ---

No possibility of Supes tracking him down later and somehow extracting information from him, either. Or worse yet, Lois Lane tracking him down and getting information from him. ---

Heh. Superman busted out the Hulk clap. Maybe he has been taking tips from this cousin Kara. It figures that the reason Morgan Edge is in Smallville is to get ahold of kryptonite. This will also probably why Black Luthor will be coming to Smallville in the near future. Now are the writers going the _Smallville_ route and start introducing freaks of the week? We’ve already seen two - one that assualted Lois and her source and the other actually works for Edge. This show so far has some really competent writers, so I think they could make it work. ---

They keep calling Jordan little & short & scrawny. To me, he and Jonathan look to be approximately the same size (and a similar size to the rest of the high school actors.) - not the tallest/biggest guy out there, but not remarkably different. Am I just not seeing something? Or is it a casting/writing failure? ---

Another great episode. I’m really liking how they are highlighting Superman’s time dilemmas - e.g. I know I’m taking this 15 minutes to eat lunch, and I’m ignoring the fact that I’m not saving this car from plunging over a cliff and this cat stuck in a tree. Clark having to choose between helping the army, versus going to his son’s football game is a great example. And I loved the veiled threats from General Lane to him - “You know, the military gets nervous when you don’t do what we say”, versus his response of "This isn’t my job. I do it because its the right thing to do. ". Enjoying the real-world conflict quite a bit. Also, LOVED that they threw a lawyer against Lois. Perfect example of how to shut her down. ---

Looks like Tag wound up with super speed but with no control - hope he develops some. Otherwise, sucks to be Tag. Jonathon latched on to “school for kids with powers” as something cool but I think Jordan had a much better grasp of what that would actually mean. As if the kid didn’t have enough incentive to keep a low profile in regards to his heat vision. Apparently Lane figured out the boys are sprouting powers as well as incipient facial hair. As far as Edge manufacturing “meteor freaks” - wonder what happens to the failures? Because there have just gotta be failures… ---

Jonathan called Clark’s dad “Jor-El-Debarge”! I heard it and my brother did too LOL I can’t believe that a kid his age would have a clue who El Debarge is, tho. I had to explain the joke to my 43-year-old boyfriend. But I really did laugh out loud! ---
