Superman, Humans exposed to Super Flight

Ash, see the “There is no Santa Claus” link.

The script is just a description of what we see onscreen, and what we see onscreen is from the point of view of Superman’s timeline. So that doesn’t say anything more than what the movie did.

I don’t remember that at all… Can a better searcher than I find it on YouTube or something?

OK, I concede the point. I’m guessing that the filmmaker was trying to copy similar scenes from the comics, but didn’t quite get it.

I assume everyone knows that was supposed to be the end of the second movie, but they got worried that the first one wouldn’t go over well, and there wouldn’t be a sequel.

Pre -crisis Superman would wrap his cape around the person being carried. Since the cape was Kryptonian the fabric was indestructible and friction resistant. It could also be stretched. The person being carried would be protected in a cocoon.

The man is protected by a barrier of water vapor, not the fact that the molten lead ‘just doesn’t have time to do anything’. Look up the Leidenfrost effect.
