Anyone know approximately what font the “s” in the superman logo is?

Kryptonian, of course. 😃

Seriously, however, the “S” insignia has had several changes depending on the particular incarnation of Superman (time period, media [comic books, live action television, movies, etc.]). You’d probably have to specify which. Then I’ll let our comic book experts **Fenris** and **cmkeller** answer.

according to [this font forum](http://www.powerratings.com/dcforum/DCForumID1/1219.html), the answer is “Mata”. But I don’t think that’s right. Perhaps they meant the full “Superman” title font, used on the covers.
