Running commentary… “Pest control” hah! Yellow eyed demon? MEH. Unless Dean really rekilled him for the rest of the series. OK poisoned and hallucinating hmmm… “Delicate features” heh heh SG-1 Jonas! Samuel back from the dead! WTF? Djinn? Hmmm… Aghh! LOUD! They better not fry up Dean’s family just to get him hunting again… OK, tell your girl… full disclosure…ask her what you want you to do… Sam seems more confident, but I’m not seeing him as being especially out of character. Wow they didn’t kill off Theresa or have Dean leave her… yet. ---

I was thinking they should have mentioned him in the scene where Sam and Dean first meet, but I guess at least they paid lip service to it. ---

Huh. It seemed so… stiff. And Sam’s hair! What the hell?! Anyway, I’m with those who say that Sam’s still possessed, and Samuel is up to no good. ---

I’m not so sure about the cousins and Samuel being involved in things that much; well, maybe Samuel somewhat but so far the chick cousin is the only one who seems to have a personality other than “arrogant dick” and “scary quiet guy.” As for who to bring back, I liked the Sarah Blake character from “Provenence” in the first season. Let’s have some more eye candy for the guys!! ---

Mmm, eye candy boyz. That whole episode just didn’t ring true to me. If everything is as they have stated, then I guess their writers suck, because it was just off. If that was real Sammy, then he has definitely changed. He knows how he felt when Dean died and he was left alone - he wouldn’t have done that to Dean. No way, no how. ---

Yeah, there’s something off. But then, there’s been a year of hunting that we don’t know about with Sam. Maybe he has changed. The last season it ended with Dean admitting that Sam was an overgrown man, so maybe Sam (with his new car) might take lead for a while. Might make an interesting shift in terms of who is the lead in the show. ---

She’d have the thigh strength for it. So, was there a point to the parallel mirroring lives Dean and Sam were having? Sam comes back from hell and drives a shiny black car; Dean watches his girlfriend get killed by the yellow-eyed demon and tries everything he can to try to get Sam out of hell. ---

Supernatural is the only show my daughter and I both made sure to be home for, and watched live (well, live-ish, starting it at 9:20 or so in order to not watch commercials). Friday is date night, dammit. I guess I’ll look on the bright side, and make it a standing Sunday night appointment for us. It’ll be a nice way to end the weekend. The whole tone of this episode was just weird and fractured. I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume for the moment that’s on purpose, because Sam and Dean’s lives are currently all weird and fractured. But I can’t say that I really enjoyed it that much, so I hope they start going wherever they’re going with this soon.
