Technically, that should be Ekaterina.

That [SSA Baby Names site](http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/index.html) is just great.

Is it just me, or is the idea of 239 girls named **Unique** ironically amusing? 🙂

Tierny.

Hmm. Aren’t both vowels on either side of a consonant supposed to be either slim or broad? Or does that not count when it’s two consonants? My guess is going to be something in the vicinity of “Pronshas.”

Blahnahd?

I’m pretty sure this is “Eef.” Or something like that.

Sorka?

I did, once upon a time, spend a few weeks with a “teach yourself Irish” text. Some of it stuck, but lots of it didn’t.

Shit. You’re right. :wapping self with wet noodle:

It’s still a lovely name, even if I screwed it up.

It does. The correct spelling is “Proinsias” (pronounced “prinshuhs”)

“Eefa”. Don’t forget the E at the end of Irish words isn’t silent.
