\ Jews actually used to be pretty dominant in some sports, just like African-Americans are currently, and just like now, there was a segment of racist commentators who tried to explain in racial terms just why they were suited for those sports. And of course, then as now, the real reason was socioeconomic, that kids in poor demographics have fewer options for success other than sports, and so they put in a lot more time and effort into becoming good at sports. ---

In the dark days of the 50s, my FIL would travel for business, and often a Jewish gentleman would be part of the trip, But the hotels were “restricted”. So he convinced them the guy was Irish instead. Stupid bigots. Whatta pisser! ---
