I didn’t know who Howard Jarvis was, didn’t know anything about his career or Prop 13, (still don’t actually) and have no idea why they used him and not _anyone_ else, because his scene isn’t about ‘Howard Jarvis’, but just some random taxi fare, but his last line in the film was funny then and is still funny today. ---

Another little tidbit. Jimmy “JJ” Walker was the only actor to be credited in both _Airplane!_ and the _Airport_ movies. (_The Concorde - Airport 79_) ---

Whoa, I’m not sure I’d put **Airport ‘79** on _my_ resume. The best part of that movie is Leonard Maltin’s review which ends _Thank God Charo’s around for believability!_. ---

I wonder how many kids recognize the spoof of _Point/Counterpoint_: “Let them die!”. The segments ran on _60 Minutes_ from 1971 to 1979, so they were already fading from memory when the movie was released a few years later. ---
