Hi all,

I just got back home to Berkeley, CA after 3 months in Australia.
I started taking surfing lessons there and would like to keep it up.
Does anyone know of any good beginner spots to surf that are close to Berkeley?
Thanks so much for any and all help/comments.

The closest place I can think of is Stinson Beach. It’s good for beginners (the only time I’ve ever surfed was at Stinson.) The other places nearby seem like they’re for more experienced surfers - Ocean Beach, Fort Cronkhite, Half Moon Bay all seem pretty advanced. There are probably some beginner spots near Santa Cruz (starts with a D but I can remember the name…?), but that’s pretty far from Berkeley.
