… **Rue DeDay**! Yep, our beloved MMP-er, the legendary **Uncle Rue, Story Guy** has a birthday on Nov 25. So c’mon in and find a place to hide and get ready to yell _“Surprise”_ when he wanders in. You all know this is a pot-luck party, right? So place your hot dish on the buffet table over there, grab a festive hat and a handful of confetti. And act all nonchalant and shhhhhhh - be quiet. I made my world-famous chocolate cake and instead of boring candles, I topped it with sparklers. Don’t light them till the last second, please. 😃 ---

I brought cheese straws. Gotta have those chock full of cheesy goodness cheese straws. Where are we putting the presents? I got **Rue** a set of four inflatable pink flamingos. I don’t want to know what he’ll do with em though. 😃 I’m hiding behind the drapes. ---

Oh geez - forgot about the presents… Just tuck them under the buffet table for now - the tablecloth should hide them nicely. I got him some footie jammies - **Rue** seems like the kinda guy who could wear footie jammies with style and flair. Plus it’ll save his wife from the dreaded icy feet in bed! ---

So _that’s_ what happened to that lamp shade… Is the fringe still intact, **Shibb**? If not, then don’t bother bringing it back. Without the fringe, it’s just so common. ---

I found the perfect inflatable palm trees to go with the flamingoes! Oh and I made some pepperoni pinwheels and a nice pan of brownies with nuts. Somehow for **Rue’s** party you need to have nuts! And I’m not talking about the guest list here… Where can I hide? I guess I’ll just slip into the shower - that also seems like a great place to hide the trees for now. Oh and Happy Birthday Rue! 😛 ---

I’ve brought spanakopeta (just need to keep it warm **FCM** ). As for **Rue** ’s gift…I’ve brought him a mouthguard so he won’t chip his teeth on anything. I’ll just hide behind the door over here. ---

I brought **Rue** a new flamethrower so he can finish up his yardwork in no time. I’ll tuck it over here behind the paint cans and oil cloths. Isn’t that a pretty ribbon I picked out? I brought pixie sticks and bubblegum for treats. Gotta keep that sugar high going after the cake is gone. I’ll be out in the garage playing with the garage door opener. I think I saw an extra lampshade out there too. ---

It’s not my fault I was late–getting across country this close to Thanksgiving is monsterous! Happy birthday, **Rue**.
