There are all sorts of things that law enforcement and other government agents can’t do against your will but are just fine if you consent. And sometimes ( maybe most times) they will just go away if there is no warrant. Maybe they will get one or maybe they won’t. I was a CPS investigator in NYC for eight years. In all that time, only two families wouldn’t allow me into their home. As it happened, there wasn’t evidence in either case for me to get a warrant - so basically, I went away. And so might ICE, but they definitely won’t go away if people “comply in advance”. ---

I saw this elsewhere on the internet. A MAGA was trying to enter a bar that was LGBTQ+ friendly while filming and trying to cause trouble. She got Bounced (and rightly so). People are fighting back. You SPECIFICALLY called out the popular vote. If you were talking about the electoral vote, well, that makes no sense. In the popular vote category that you asked about, Trump is the biggest loser losing three times. Can you dispute that? ---

The reason we talk about the popular vote is that POTUS is President of the whole country, and at every opportunity we need to ram home the point that we have a system that the majority of the whole country’s will can be subverted by an antiquated system that decided voters were too stupid to be trusted with the franchise, and that Republicans are usually the beneficiary of this rigged arrangement. It’s a point that matters, which is why you asked it. Unclear why you forgot you asked it. ---
