How they never saw this coming is beyond me. That’s from _Ramsey_ in 1977. Since then “the border” has expanded to 100 miles from the border meaning you lose your 4th Amendment rights even if you never cross over into another country. ---

I remember seeing there was a spike in Google searches for “tariff” _after_ the election. I know one Trump fan who thought China and other countries had paid the US $billions in tariffs during Trump’s first term and was all enthusiastic about Trump jacking them up even more when elected again. ---
