…I think it is. Lest I get accused of making it all about Gaza again, It’s what happened in Gaza, especially while Biden and the Democrats were in charge, and the inaction on it even now, thats lead me to that conclusion. They are not only not listening: they are _actively shutting it down_.
The establishment Dems are _never ever_ going to change. They will pose for a photo with a war criminal and not even bat an eyelid. They will vote for people like Marco Rubio. They think that Trump getting a Nobel Peace Prize isn’t a bad thing. They aren’t ever going to listen.

If I intended to say “don’t bother to fight” then I would simply say “don’t bother to fight.”
But merely observing a situation and saying how you feel about that situation is just that. Nothing more.

I don’t see it as any different to what they said.
Do you mean where I said “but that doesn’t mean I think people shouldn’t keep on fighting”?
Because I _had_ to add that part. Otherwise, you probably would have assumed I meant “people should stop fighting” as well. The only reason I decided to write that explicitly was because of so many bad faith readings of what other people have said.

No you didn’t. You said he implies that no one should fight anymore. That “a way to say in reality: don’t bother to fight.” You aren’t actually arguing with things they _actually_ said: but things that you _think_ that they said.

I’ve only made a handful of posts in a thread with _over 4000 posts_. All but one of them in response to things that were said to me, including a rather deranged attack from the moderator here. I hardly think that I’m the problem. I’m easy enough to ignore. Just don’t respond to me or ignore me.

That is why I suggested renaming this thread and starting a new one. No amount of guilting is helping here. I don’t think there is anything that can get this one back on track. Used to be a good discussion…
Wait, maybe I can use bad grammar and spelling and get folks attention diverted enough to steer this back to the topic.

Yeah, I didn’t bother reading that one, but the same thoughts occurred to me. Well, a couple. One is that Medicaid is actually OK (since it helps her), but other social programs (that she doesn’t need) are bad.
My other thought is that she probably thinks she and her son deserve Medicaid, but those other people are undeserving and should be thrown off.
Not sure which is more hypocritical.

Of course the policy center she works for is actually a hard right fundamentalist Xian group. Any question of how 21st century America ought to operate can be answered by looking at the Bible, with emphasis on the Old Testament parts.
And don’t forget: all those people named in the bible, the various characters, etc? They were all White.
