I’m _so_ stealing that. ETA: Some MAGAt replied to a comment I made on a ‘deport Elon and Melania’ meme. After a couple of exchanges I told him ‘Whatever, dud. Sadly, almost all these examples still _believe_. Some variant of “this is a mistake”, “Trump never intended this”, or similar. They’ll all blame someone (Musk if we’re lucky, Democrats sadly more likely) for making this happen, and they’ll **still keep voting for the Leopards**. ---

Not just America. The US is heading towards losing the cold war it won 35 or so years ago. There is every prospect that Putin is going to consider he has just been given the green light to annex (at least) former soviet-bloc countries without interference and that NATO is basically dead. That’s slightly off topic for this particular thread but it is bemusing to consider that so many MAGA’s worship Reagan and his policies, yet what Trump has done over the last couple of weeks has ripped the rug from under the achievements of those very policies.
